Ad Deployment defaults
Ad Deployment holds store-wide defaults for the Meta ads you deploy from Nexus. These defaults apply to all new ad sets. They do not change ad sets that already exist. Find them at Settings > General > Ad Deployment.
Before you start
- Connect Meta Ads. See Meta Ads.
- Select a Facebook Page in your Meta Ads connection. A Meta deploy fails without one.
- These settings cover Meta only.
Attribution window
Attribution window controls how Meta attributes conversions to your ads. Set two values:
| Field | Options |
|---|---|
| Click window | 1 day, 7 days |
| View window | None, 1 day, 7 days |
The click window counts a conversion that follows a click. The view window counts a conversion that follows a view with no click. None turns view attribution off. When nothing is saved yet, the menus show 7 days for Click window and 1 day for View window.
WARNING
Meta accepts a window longer than 1 day only on a conversion ad set that uses a Meta pixel. If your choice goes past 1 day, Nexus gives every other new ad set a 1-day click window and no view window.
Placements to skip
Select a placement to cross it out. Nexus removes crossed-out placements from every new ad set when you deploy. It does this even if the deploy form still shows the placement as selectable.
WARNING
If every placement you pick in the deploy form is skipped, the deploy stops with an error and Nexus sends nothing. Pick a placement that is not skipped.
Placements come in five groups:
| Group | Placements |
|---|---|
| Publisher Platforms | Facebook, Instagram, Audience Network, Messenger |
| Facebook Positions | Feed, Marketplace, Story, Reels, Instream Video, Search, Right Hand Column |
| Instagram Positions | Stream, Story, Reels, Explore, Explore Home, Profile Feed, IG Search |
| Audience Network Positions | Classic, Instream Video, Rewarded Video |
| Messenger Positions | Story |
Skipping a whole publisher platform greys out its positions group. The group shows "Platform excluded above". Select the platform again to bring its positions back.
EU Digital Services Act
For ads shown in the EU, Meta asks who benefits from an ad and who pays for it. By default Nexus sends your Facebook Page for both. Fill in these fields only when someone else is behind the ad, for example an agency:
- Beneficiary: the person or business that benefits from the ad.
- Payor: the person or business that pays for the ad.
Each field accepts up to 200 characters. Leave a field blank to use the default that Nexus sends for your Facebook Page.
Save your changes
When you change a setting, Discard and Save appear at the top of the tab. Select Save to keep your changes. The button reads Saving… while Nexus writes them. Select Discard to go back to the saved values.
If saving fails, the tab shows "Failed to save settings. Please try again." and your edits stay in place.
New settings apply to ad sets you deploy from then on.
