Studio: browse, create and manage Creative Sets
Studio is the home of your Creative Sets. A Creative Set holds one creative in several sizes, or one carousel with several cards. You edit the Set, then turn it into an ad. Open Create > Studio.
Some dialogs say Design Set. It is the same thing.
Problem and intended user
A creative strategist (the person who plans and makes ad creatives) ends up with many versions of the same ad: one per size, one per platform, some still drafts, some already live. Without one place that lists them, it is hard to know which version is current and which one became an ad. A media buyer (the person who runs your paid ads) then has to ask for the right file.
Studio helps you keep every version of a creative together, with its status.
Current workflow
Without Studio, the creative strategist keeps creative files in a design tool, in shared folders or with an agency. Each size is a separate file. A spreadsheet or a chat thread tracks which file is a draft and which is in Meta Ads Manager or Google Ads. Files get renamed and resized by hand when a creative changes.
Prerequisites
- A starting point for a Set: a creative you kept from a Creative Batch, your own images in the Library, or a blank canvas. See Generate a creative batch and Library.
- Credits for the From image mode. The dialog shows the cost before you confirm. The Billing page shows the current values. See Credits and top-ups.
- For Empty canvas with a product Set, a linked product.
How Nexus works
Nexus stores each Set with its designs, its copy and its ads. Fixed rules decide the list, the filters and the status of each card. AI writes content only when you choose a mode that generates it, such as the Creative Wizard. You make every choice: which Set to open, which mode to use, when to create an ad and when to archive. See Edit a Creative Set in the Studio editor.
Find a Creative Set
A segmented control switches between Active (every Set that is not archived) and Archived. Use the filters to narrow the list.
| Filter | What it does |
|---|---|
| Search by name… | Finds Sets whose name contains your text. |
| Filter by status | All, Draft or Ad created. Hidden in the Archived view. |
| Filter by type | All Types, Single Image, Carousel, Multi-Aspect, PMax or Demand Gen. |
| Filter by scene archetype | All scenes, or one scene such as Product only. |
| All batches | Tick one or more Creative Batches to see only the creatives you kept from them. This filter shows only after you run the Creative Wizard. |
| Sort | Sort: Created, Sort: Updated or Sort: Status. The arrow button flips the order. |
Platform tabs filter by All Platforms, Google or Meta. TikTok shows Coming soon when you point at it. Use Previous and Next to move between pages.
Start a new Creative Set
Warning: From image costs credits. Read the cost in the dialog before you confirm. The dialog labels it Cost or Estimated cost. The Creative Wizard does not use your credits, but limits apply.
- Select New Creative Set.
- Choose a mode in the dialog.
- Complete the next screen, then select its main button.
| Mode | What it does |
|---|---|
| Creative Wizard | Opens the wizard. See Generate a creative batch. |
| From another creative | Pick one of your Sets, then select Create from creative. Nexus makes a copy to edit. |
| Empty canvas | Build from scratch. Select Create blank Set. |
| From image | Turn Library images into creatives, unchanged. Select Create creatives. |
In Empty canvas, you set a Subject (Product or Brand), a Target platform (Meta or Google), a Kind and a Name. Pick the platform first. The Kind list stays empty until you do.
| Platform | Kinds you can pick |
|---|---|
| Meta | Single image, Multi-aspect, Carousel |
| Responsive Display Ad, Performance Max, Demand Gen |
In From image, pick one or more images and a platform. Under Aspect ratios, choose Multi-aspect, Single or Original. Original uses each image as it is, without cropping or expanding it. The dialog shows the credit cost before you confirm. See Credits and top-ups.
Archive a Creative Set
Archive asks you to confirm first. See the warning under Exact output.
Exact output
The output is the Studio list, and for each Set a card and a detail panel.
Read a card
Each card shows a preview, the type of Set, the name, a status pill, the number of designs and the last update date. The Open in Studio button on a card opens the editor.
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Draft | You can still edit the Set. |
| Creating ad… | Nexus is creating an ad from the Set. |
| Ad created | At least one ad exists for the Set. |
| Archived | You archived the Set. |
On a card, the second button reads Create Ad, See Ad or See Ads, based on how many ads the Set has. The More actions menu holds Duplicate in Studio, Create Landing Page for this Creative and Archive. See Landing Pages for the landing page item. An archived Set shows only Duplicate in Studio.
Open a Creative Set
Select a card to open its detail panel. It shows the designs, the linked product, the ads made from the Set, the copy and Creative Set Info, which lists the kind, the platform and the sizes.
The panel has these buttons:
- Create Ad turns a Draft Set into an ad. See Edit a Creative Set in the Studio editor.
- Open in Studio opens the editor.
- Duplicate in Lab copies the Set.
- Archive hides the Set after you confirm.
Duplicate in Lab and Duplicate in Studio do the same thing: they copy the Set and open the copy in the editor.
WARNING
Archiving cannot be undone. An archived Set stays in the Archived view, but you cannot restore it. Duplicate it to keep working.
What to do with it
| What you see | Decision or action | Owner |
|---|---|---|
| A Draft card | Select Open in Studio to refine the Set, or Create Ad to turn it into an ad. | creative strategist |
| An Ad created card with See Ad or See Ads | Review and launch the ad. See Review and deploy ads. | media buyer |
| A Set you want to change again after you created its ad | Select Open in Studio and edit the Set. A new Create Ad makes another version and another ad. Or select Duplicate in Studio or Duplicate in Lab, then edit the copy. | creative strategist |
| A Set you no longer need | Select Archive and confirm. | creative strategist |
| An empty list | Select New Creative Set and pick a mode. | creative strategist |
| A Creating ad… card | Wait for Nexus to finish. | creative strategist |
Deploying to Meta or Google happens in Create > Ads, not in Studio.
To make a landing page from your Creative Sets, select Select sets above the list, or open the More actions menu of a card and select Create Landing Page for this Creative. See Landing Pages.
Expected value and measurement
Studio can help you keep every version of a creative in one place, with a status on each card. It does not measure results itself.
To check the list, filter by Filter by status and read how many Sets are still Draft and how many are Ad created. To check the ads, open Performance > Ad performance after they run and read Spend and ROAS. See Ad performance. A new offer or a budget change in the same period also moves those numbers, so you cannot isolate the effect of Studio.
Limitations and exceptions
- TikTok shows Coming soon when you point at it.
- For a Performance Max or Demand Gen Set, Create Ad lists what to fix under Requirements not met before it creates the ad.
- After you create an ad, the Set stays open for editing. The Create Ad dialog says the creative becomes read-only. Ignore that line.
- Archiving cannot be undone. Duplicate a Set first when you may need it again.
- AI writes content in the Creative Wizard. Review it before you create an ad. It can be wrong.
When nothing shows
With no Sets, the page shows "No Design Sets yet" and Create Design Set, which starts a Set. When a filter hides every Set, the page shows Clear filters, which resets the list.
Demo Mode
INFO
In Demo Mode, From image returns "Creating design sets from Library images isn't available in demo mode — disable demo mode to use this flow." Create Ad opens a dialog that says creating an ad is disabled while you explore with sample data.
In the public demo, Create Ad opens the same dialog. Creating a Set is blocked and shows "This action is not available in the public demo."
