Find your way around Nexus

Nexus has six main sections. You pick a section in the menu, then pick a tab inside it, except in Inspiration Library, which has its own tabs on one page. This page explains both levels, and the strips that can appear above your page.

The main menu

In Shopify Admin, the Nexus menu sits in the left navigation. A standard store sees these items:

Menu itemWhat it holdsWhere it opens
HomeYour dashboards and KPI cards.Your own role dashboard.
InsightsWhat Nexus finds in your store data: findings, products, customers, customer experience and competitors.Top findings
CreateAd strategy and production: angles, concepts, the testing backlog, creative batches and the Studio.Angles
PerformanceHow your ads perform, and the tools to run them.Ad performance
Inspiration LibraryThe ads you save and the ads of your competitors, Inspiration brands and industry peers, with saved-ad folders. The Inspiration Library page
SettingsYour profile, integrations, billing and rules.General

The menu stays highlighted on the section you are in, whichever tab you view.

Tabs inside each section

Each section shows a row of tabs at the top of the page. Some rows group their tabs under a small caption, such as Strategy and Production in Create.

INFO

The Billing tab is hidden when your billing is managed outside Nexus.

To learn more about two of these tabs, read Landing Pages and Theme Access.

Home has no tab row. It opens one of three dashboards: Store overview, Ads overview or Creative overview. A small row of tabs next to the greeting switches between them: Ecommerce manager, Media buyer and Creative strategist. See Home dashboards.

Your persona does not change the menu

Your persona decides only which Home dashboard opens first. The Ad Manager persona opens Ads overview. The Creative strategist persona opens Creative overview. Every other persona, and no persona, opens Store overview.

The menu is the same for every persona. The tab row next to the greeting opens the other dashboards. To learn where a persona is set, read Team and roles.

The daily brief strip

When today's Morning Brief has items for you, a one-line strip appears at the top of the page. In the Nexus web app outside Shopify, it sits at the top of the left menu instead. It reads like this:

N new items in today's brief · X potential impact

X is an amount in your store currency. It is missing when the brief has no estimated impact. The strip then shows only the item count, for example 1 new item in today's brief.

  • Select the strip to open the Morning Brief.
  • Select the X at the right end to dismiss the strip.

The strip shows once for each brief. Opening the brief page also counts as seen. Nexus remembers this in your browser, so the strip can show again if you open Nexus in another browser. The next day's brief brings a new strip. The strip does not appear on the Morning Brief page.

Banners above your page

Banners appear above the page content when your account needs attention:

  • Credits. A banner tells you when AI credits run low or run out. Its Top up button opens the Billing tab. Read Credits and top-ups.
  • Trial. A banner shows where your trial stands. It also shows the next step when a trial has ended or has not started. The Billing page shows the details. Read Plans and trial.

Light and dark mode

Inside Shopify Admin, Nexus does not show a color scheme control.

In the Nexus web app, outside Shopify, the Color scheme control sits at the top right of the page. It is a row of three icons. Hover over an icon to see its name:

  • Match system
  • Light mode
  • Dark mode
