Landing Pages: generate and manage landing pages for your ads
Landing Pages lists every landing page that Nexus has written for your store, and starts new ones. Open it from Create > Landing Pages. To edit, publish or archive one page, see Landing page editor.
Problem and intended user
The media buyer (the person who runs your paid ads) sends clicks to a page. If the page does not repeat the hook, the offer and the look of the ad, visitors leave. The ecommerce manager (the person who runs the store) needs a page for each product or angle, and each page needs a writer, a designer and a place in the theme. Ads then wait for pages, or they point at a generic product page.
Current workflow
Without Nexus, the ecommerce manager or an agency builds each page in the Shopify theme editor, or in a page-builder app. Someone copies the headline and the image from the ad by hand. Someone checks that the page and the ad still match after each change.
Prerequisites
- The Shopify app is installed and your product catalog is synced.
- Nexus knows your store's style: your fonts, colours and sections. The New landing page flow learns it for you when you select Create landing page. Every other place that starts a page keeps Generate off until Nexus knows your style. See Learn your store's style under How Nexus works.
- Credits. Generating a page uses credits. The dialog and the Billing page show the cost. See Credits and top-ups.
- Optional: Shopify's Theme Access app. With it, pages publish as full-width sections of your theme. Without it, they publish in the basic layout. See Theme Access (Settings > Theme Access).
- Optional: an ad. A page can start from an ad, from a product, or from the brand alone.
How Nexus works
Nexus reads your store's theme once and keeps a record of its style. For each page, Nexus reads the product and the ad, when you pick one. AI then writes the copy and builds the page from your store's own theme. A page is always a Draft first. It goes live when you publish it, or when you deploy an ad that the page was made for. On a Full-width page, you can also edit the parts of the page in the Shopify theme editor, and Nexus reads your changes back. See Landing page editor.
WARNING
Generating a page uses credits. Check the cost in the dialog or on the Billing page before you start.
Learn your store's style
The Store style chip sits beside New landing page. Select it to read what Nexus learned: fonts, colours, sections, store facts and voice. Select Relearn to read your theme again.
- Learn your store's style replaces the chip when Nexus has no record yet. Select it, then select Learn my store's style.
- Learning style with a step count shows on the chip while Nexus reads your theme.
- Relearn suggested appears on the chip when your theme changed since Nexus learned it, or when Nexus can learn more about it. Your pages keep working.
- A banner above the list asks you to relearn after you publish a different theme. Until you do, Generate stays off and the New landing page flow asks you to learn first.
Create a page with the wizard
- Select New landing page.
- Under What is this page about?, choose A product or The brand. For a product, select Choose a product under Which product?.
- Optional: under Start from an ad?, select Choose an ad, or pick one under Your strongest ads. The page continues the ad's promise. Then choose the headline (The ad's own headline or A new headline Nexus writes) and the top of the page. Without an ad, answer What should this page achieve or communicate?
- Check the Your page summary and select Create landing page. The button shows the cost.
Start a page from other places
Each place below opens the same dialog, Generate landing page. It lists the ads, with Already has a landing page — skipped, Already being generated — skipped or Unavailable — skipped beside any ad it leaves out. You choose the options, then select Generate.
| Place | Control |
|---|---|
| Create > Ads | Generate landing page in the ad's … (More actions) menu, or Select ads and Generate landing pages (N) |
| Create > Studio | Create Landing Page for this Creative in a Creative Set's More actions menu, or Select sets and Generate landing pages (N) |
| The Studio editor | Create Landing Page for this Creative in More actions |
| Ad detail | Generate landing page, and the Landing page tab, for your own ads. See Ad detail. |
| Creative Wizard | In Choose campaign types, the Landing page for switch for each platform |
| Bulk deploy | Also generate a landing page in the Deploy N ads dialog. It makes one page for the batch, from the first ad. |
| Option | Choices |
|---|---|
| Page focus | Follow the ad's message or Standalone product page |
| Hero image | Automatic (recommended), Ad creative, Product photo or No hero image |
| Hero layout | Full width (the default) or Contained. It does not show with No hero image. |
An ad that has a page shows Open landing page or View landing page instead. A run takes up to 20. The selection bar says so, and the dialog reads "Choose up to 20 ads per run." when you pick too many. After Generate, a message reads Landing page queued, or the number queued. The page then shows as a Generating card.
Follow a page while Nexus writes it
After Create landing page, the wizard shows Writing your landing page and a list of steps: Queued, Reading your store, Writing and building the page and Building and publishing the page. Stay and Nexus opens the page when it is ready, or select Keep working — back to Landing Pages. A card marked Generating stays in the list until the page is ready.
Exact output
A list of pages, newest first, with a card for each.
The header shows the total, for example "5 total", and "· 1 generating" while pages are written. The filter bar has Select all, Active only (published pages), Filter by product, Filter by category and Clear filters. A line reads "Showing X of Y".
Each card shows:
| Part | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Snapshot | A picture of the page |
| Title | Links to the page. The handle shows under it when it differs. |
| Status | Draft, Published or Archived |
| Layout | Full-width (a section of your theme) or Basic layout |
| Remodelling… | An AI remodel is running on the page |
| Previous generator | A page made by the earlier version of Nexus |
| Created | The day the page was made |
| Product | The product, Brand page or Collection. A deleted product reads "Product no longer in your catalog". Select it to read the product in a window. |
| Source ad | The ad the page continues. A deleted ad reads "Ad no longer available". Select it to see the ad in a window. |
A Generating card shows the step and the day it was queued. It has no link and no checkbox.
When Theme Access is not connected, a banner reads Landing pages publish in the basic layout. Select Connect Theme Access, or Dismiss.
Bulk actions
Select cards. A bar shows "N selected" with Publish (n), Archive (n), Delete (n) and Clear. Each action opens a confirmation. Pages that cannot take the action are left out and listed with the reason. A failure card lists the pages that could not be done, and they stay selected so you can try again.
What to do with it
| What you see | Decision or action | Owner |
|---|---|---|
| A Draft card | Open it, review it and publish it. | ecommerce manager |
| A Published card | Send your ads to the page. This happens outside this page. | media buyer |
| A Generating card | Wait. The card turns into a page. | ecommerce manager |
| Basic layout on a card | Connect Theme Access if you want full-width pages. | ecommerce manager |
| Relearn suggested | Select Store style, then Relearn. | ecommerce manager |
| Previous generator | Remodel the page in the editor before you publish it. | ecommerce manager |
| An Archived card | Publish it again, or delete it. | ecommerce manager |
Expected value and measurement
A landing page that repeats the promise of the ad can help visitors see that they reached the right place.
To check, compare the ads that point at a Nexus page with the ads that point elsewhere. Open Performance > Ad performance and read the spend and the revenue for each. See Ad performance. Use your own analytics for conversion. You cannot isolate the page from other changes, such as new creatives, audiences or offers, that ran at the same time.
Limitations and exceptions
- AI writes each page and can be wrong. Review every page before you publish it.
- Learning can fail. A banner reads "We couldn't read your storefront. Check that it's online, then try again." Select Try again.
- Generation can stop at a limit. The dialog says "You have reached the hourly limit for landing pages." or "Too many requests. Try again in a few minutes." When a run asks for more than the hour allows, it can also say how many more pages you can generate this hour, and when you can try again. When a start fails, the dialog shows the reason, or "Could not start landing page generation. Nothing was charged."
- An ad can have one page. For an imported ad, the wizard says "This ad already has a landing page. Create makes a second page." and links to the first. For an ad that Nexus generated, Create landing page stays off.
- A list that does not load reads "We couldn't load your landing pages. Reload to try again."
When the list is empty
With no pages, the list reads No landing pages yet and offers New landing page. If filters hide every page, it reads No landing pages match these filters. Select Clear filters.
Demo Mode
In Demo Mode, the list shows sample pages. Creating a page and generating pages from ads are blocked and show a message. The bulk dialog says the action is simulated, and the pages stay as they are. See Demo Mode.
